Training is critical here at Hix Group where we aim to train our team members and management team to ensure we keep up to date within our industry and offer continual development for our committed staff to continue to grow.

We offer specific training for apprentices and trainees and then look to further build on this once technicians become licensed – this training includes:

  • Work health and safety training to ensure full awareness and commitment to our policies and procedures
  • Customer Service training to ensure our customers receive the best service at all times
  • Team building and communication
  • A large range of skill specific training including – working at heights, confined spaces training, testing and inspection, Elevated Work Platform tickets etc

Our administrative and support team also undertake regular training and updates on our Job Management System (simPRO) which forms a key component of our success in servicing client needs and records management ,so we always need to stay up to date with the best methods of utilising this platform along with a range of technology embraced by our team.

In addition to the above, as a part of our People and Culture Policies (and specifically Inclusion), all team members are currently undertaking an Inclusion Program developed by SBS to further contribute to our company culture of equality, diversity and fairness and significantly improve awareness.

For those moving into leadership roles we provide further on the job and specialised training depending upon the roles involved.

Our Managers all undertake Leadership and Project Management training along with ongoing attendance at Seminars, Workshops and Industry Conferences and Courses. In order to continue to develop and hone their skills and improve the management of their divisions they attend conferences and Team Building and Strategic business sessions as a group.
